"Wherever you are"
Will Webb
Comin' from the left/comin' from the middle
Comin' from where ever you are
Comin' by bus/comin' by river
Comin' by a shooting star
Comin' like rain
Tastes like sugar
Feels like a little to far
Comin' from the left
Right and the middle
Comin' from where ever you are
Comin from the roof/ comin' from the kitchen
Comin' from the neighborhood bar
Comin by writ comin by fusion
Comin' by a nuclear star
Comin' like rain
Tastes like sugar
Feels like a little to far
Coming from the left
Right and the middle
Comin' from where ever you are
Comin' from the weeds deeds and vision
Wisdom worn and scarred
Comin' from the greed that builds the prison
The hate that steals the heart
Comin' from the sighs of the saints in winter
The trees the moon the stars
Comin' from the left
right and the middle
Comin' from where ever you are

"Like Fred Astaire"
Webb/Miller
It really doesn't matter where your from
Just bring some money with you when you come
Wer'e dancing like Fred Astaire
Coming down the marble stairs
It really doesn't matter where your from
Hell we don't even care what you've done
Just pour yourself another drink
Tell us what you really think
What you really think
It really doesn't matter where your from
You don't have to walk you can run
They"re burning up the streets tonight
Lucifers's real tight
It really doesn't matter where your from
Your guaranteed to have a little fun
It's all right here in this black bag
Tell me do you feel that
Do you feel that
It really doesn't matter where your from
We don't even care why you've come
We're dancing like Fred Astaire falling down the marble stairs
Like Fred Astaire

"The Sea" Will Webb
From the spinning of the years to the grinding of the gears
The crushing blow of every rivers end
Your face ten shades of blue the wall no one see's through
The life no man alive would defend
Your religion is circumstance
Your ignorance no defense
And your bound by the sea in the end
At the market on the square the shelves cracked and bare
The baskets full and everybody's spent
Has your ego and your pride forced the soul aside
Have you misread every warning that was sent
Chorus
Did you ever think of love or was that just never enough
Do you think now maybe loves what this all meant
In that dark and shattered space does the fire call your name
Does it rise to meet the vacuum of your skin
Chorus
From the rattling of the bones to the dust that's still to come
The fading fast the losing innocent
Your religion is circumstance your ignorance no defense
And your bound by the Sea in the end
From the spinning of the years to the grinding of the gears
Your bound by the sea in the end

"Studying Sidewalks"
Will Webb
I've been studying sidewalks working on my own avenue
I've been trying to make it special something that be worthy of you
I've been mending old fences fusing all reason and rhyme
lost to the moment confined by no measure of time
I've been studying history working on my own point of view
I've been trying to keep it simple man but I just get more confused
I've been dissecting heroes baffled by each toothless lion
Lost to the moment confined by no measure of time
And then the wheel stops hallelujah I hear the truth cry
Hey I hardly knew ya
I've been studying darkness working on a new shade of blue
I've been trying to keep it light
but it's taken on some other kind of hue
I'm going back to the cradle the one I still see in my mind
lost to the moment defined by no measure of time

"Trying to talk to you"
Will Webb
The morning's breaking and the crows are frozen to the limb
The sky is heavy and it looks like winter's settled in
Winds blowing and that coat your wearings kinda thin
I'm not worried baby I'm just wondering where you been
I tried to reach you but I could not find you anywhere
The girl I thought I knew just seemed to vanish in the air
I saw a stranger had your eyes your hands and your hair
I'm not complaining babe I just thought that you might care
Cross the fields I'm running chasing down some memory
Over hill and valley meadows lush in summer green
Found a place laid a wake just a while to dream
I'm not sleeping baby your not lying next to me
If I had a prayer one I thought just might get through
Or if I ruled the world and everything that people do
Love would stay just the way it was when it was new
I'm not angry babe I'm just trying to talk to you

"Richard Lee"
Will Webb
On a cold Dakota night January 83
In a box on the side of the road
With eyes open wide past the point of crying
lay the baby poor Richard Lee
Must have been God himself caused the passer by to see
that boy in the ditch and the snow
As she held him so close she feared he had froze
Said a prayer for poor Richard Lee
And the moon went around from here to the china sea
At ninety miles an hour she made it to town
Without one more moment to spare
But the Doctor's and the Priest and everyone else agreed
They'd seen the first and last of Richard Lee
Now on the very next day they were hard pressed to explain
That cry echoed up and down the hall
Some may understand God had another plan
So he reached down and touched Richard Lee
And the years went around from here to the China Sea
On the outside looking in the only place he'd ever been
Twelve years old and locked inside his head
When the devil came to play the devil came and stayed
He Found a voice in young Richard Lee
Said If you want someone to hear you've got to say it clear
You've got to speak out loud and tell it straight
With a rifle in his hand he'd make them understand
The world was gonna hear from Richard Lee
And shots rang out from here to the china sea
When all was said and done there were seven children gone
The TV showed them taking him away
And when the camera caught a glimpse of the smile on his lips
I felt nothing but rage for Richard Lee
And the moon went around from here to the china sea

"War Zone"
Will Webb
In a war zone neath a watchful sky
With there faces on and the banners hi
Like a bad dream that never ends
Where everyone dies again and again
Chorus
In a war zone ain't nobody clean
And God don't know and God don't care
What anyone means
In a war zone it's always the same
The mongrels lead while the faithless preach
In Gods name
In a war zone in a blood red rain
with a sattelite send till my TV screams
Like a bad dream that never ends
Where everyone dies again and again
Chorus

"Real Live Scene"
Will Webb
My hard lovin woman got no use for me
Laid up in the trailer watching Springer on TV
It's a hard life dream it's a real live scene
It's a hard luck woman makin a fool outta me
Been to Mississippi been to Baltimore
Been to Detroit City but I ain't going back no more
It's a hard life dream, it's a real live scene
It's a hard luck woman makin a fool outta me
Chorus
Well I'm rollin down that highway
Kickin up dust and stone
Heard some Mr. yellin boy leave my sister alone
It's a hard life dream
It's a hard luck woman makin a fool outta me
Well my legs might shake like jelly but I still wanna roll
all you gotta do is whistle if you really wanna go
It's a hard life dream it's a real live scene
It's a hard luck woman makin a fool outta me
Chorus

"State Of Grace"
Will Webb
Feeling feeling like the train has left the station
You're standing on the platform and it's raining
People on the cars they're just waving
And you're waiting anticipating a state of grace
Willing willing to believe in tomorrow
That somewhere the sun is on the meadow
Dancing off the dew and the flowers
and the flower with the power of a state of grace
Lovers lovers wear the shadow of the evening
The shadows where the broken do there weeping
Where deceivers always do there best deceiving
While your bleeding and your pleading for a state of grace
Sailors sailors on the only ship still sailing
Condemned to drift with shifting winds prevailing
Hands that tightly grip the cold steel railing
Never failing always tailing a state of grace
Living living with the wisdom of the dying
the knowing eyes the choir as she's rising
the last stitch of thread that comes unwinding
And it's blinding defining a state of grace
